This free public program is a Truman Series event presented by the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum, the Truman Library Institute, American Public Square, and the Harry S. Truman Center at UMKC. It will be preceded by a 5:30 reception.

Please join us for a public program commemorating the 133rd observance of First Lady Bess Wallace Truman’s birth. First Lady Fashion will feature a presentation by Elizabeth Way, assistant curator for the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. This event will also include a special White Glove presentation of an item from Mrs. Truman’s closet. It will be followed by a reception hosted by the Independence Pioneers Chapter - Daughters of the American Revolution.

This event is free for members of the Truman Library Institute or with paid admission to the Museum.
